  Marriage Notes:

"ELIZABETH GORDON, who succeeded to her brother, is first named in a writ of 27 March 1407-8. Her ward and marriage had been granted by Robert, Duke of Albany, to his son-in-law, Walter Haliburton of Dirleton, and these casualties were purchased from the latter by Sir William Seton of that Ilk, whose ward Elizabeth became. A few
months later she was married to Alexander Seton, Sir William's second son, as on 20 July 1408 she and her husband received from the Regent Albany a charter of the
lands of Gordon, Fogo, Strathbogie, and others, to be held to the spouses and their lawful heirs."
