McGRATH, Mary ¹

  General Notes:

Father Alex Smith baptised Mary in 1844, and her baptismal sponsors were Robert Cavenagh and Mary Cavenagh.

When James McGrath, the seventh child, born to his parents, was registered in 1855, the birth certificate recorded the information that one boy and three girls had died; and one boy and one girl still survived.

Mary McGrath was not listed with her family in the 1851 census entry at New Monkland, nor in the 1861 census at Baillieston, so it seems likely she had died by then. ^{1 2 3}
