The 1891 census recorded Maggie Tweedie [sic] as aged 24 years, and born in Ayr. She had three children of 5 years and under.

The 1901 census recorded Margaret Tweedie living with her husband and family at 157 Gordon Street, Camelon, Falkirk. Her age was noted as 35 years, and her birthplace as Ayr. ^{7 8}

Margaret married John QUIGLEY, son of Thomas QUIGLEY and Helen BARBOUR, on 31 December 1884 in Bardowan, Coylton, Ayrshire, Scotland.^{1 2} (John QUIGLEY was born 2 December 1861 at 9.20 pm in Holmes Colliery, Galston, Ayrshire, Scotland ^{9 10 11} and died 15 July 1920 at 11.30 am in Ayr County Hospital, Ayr, Scotland ¹².). The cause of his death was prostatic disease and cystitis.

  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was performed according to the forms of the Church of Scotland by Charles S. Russell, minister of Stair. The witnesses were Robert Park and Misy Sloan.

John Quigley was an unmarried man aged 23 years, of Bardowan, Coylton. He was a general labourer. His mother was deceased and his father still living.

Maggie Dick was also of Bardowan. She was aged 18 years, was unmarried, and was a house maid. Both of her parents were living.

The marriage was registered at Coylton on 2 January 1885, John Smith registrar.
