  General Notes:

In 1891 Andrew and his family were recorded by the 1891 census living at Annsfield Place Blantyre. He was recorded as aged 30 and was a Coal Check Weigher by occupation.

It was Andrew who notified the registrar of Jane Cavanagh's death. He was recorded as her son-in-law.

When his son Peter married in 1910 Andrew's occupation was recorded as "coal weigher". 1 6 7

ANDREW MCANULTY

Andrew McAnulty was a well known historical figure. He was the first President of the Lanarkshire Mineworkers' Union. More can be found out about him in A Blast From The Past by Andrew Paterson published 2005 ISBN 0-9550000-0-9 The author is a descendant of Andrew McAnulty.

Andrew married Mary CROW, daughter of Unknown and Jane CROW. (Mary CROW was born on 4 November 1863 in Bothwell parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland 9.)
