Peter married Catherine McSORLEY on 22 December 1850 in Lanark Parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland. (Catherine McSORLEY was born in 1831 in County Tyrone, Ireland and died on 8 May 1874 in 1 Steele Street, Wishaw, Lanarkshire, Scotland.). The cause of her death was cancer of the womb.
