   Cause of her death was scirrhus of the right mammary gland over 24 months and secondary deposit over 6 months.

  General Notes:

Catherine Cavanagh was recorded by the 1901 census as a mother of three children, living at Coopermindale Place, Stonefield, Blantyre, with her husband. Her birthplace was Blantyre. She was recorded as aged 30 years and was a 'coal miner's wife'. The family home had two windowed rooms.

Catherine Cavanagh died in 1907 at Blantyre. Her death certificate recorded her aged 34 years, and married to Patrick Cavanagh, coal miner. Her father was deceased, but her mother survived her. ^{2 3}

Patrick Cavanagh, Catherine's widower, gave notice of her death before the registrar, James Brown, at Blantyre on 12 February 1907. ²

Catherine married Patrick CAVANAGH, son of James CAVANAGH and Catherine McINERNEY, on 12 July 1895 in St Joseph's RC Chapel, Blantyre, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹ (Patrick CAVANAGH was born 14 April 1868 at 4.30 pm in New Carnbroe, Bothwell Parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland ⁵, baptised on 22 April 1868 in St Patrick's RC parish, Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, Scotland ⁶ and died 7 April 1957 at 4.45 pm in 2 Belvoir Place, Blantyre, Lanarkshire, Scotland ⁷.). The cause of his death was senility and cystitis suffered over 6 days.

  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated, after banns, according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church, Father Edwin Witsker being the celebrating priest. The witnesses were James Cummings and Rose Ann McCaffrey.

Patrick Cavanagh, of Stonefield Road Blantyre, was a bachelor of 26 years, who worked as a coal miner.

Catherine Cummings was 24 years old. She worked as a cotton factory weaver, and she too was of Stonefield, Blantyre. Catherine's father was deceased.

The marriage was registered on 13 July 1895 at Blantyre, George Harries being the registrar.
