Cause of her death was scirrhus of the right mammary gland over 24 months and secondary deposit over 6 months. Other names for Catherine were CAVANAGH, Catherine 3 and CUMMING, Catherine.4 General Notes: Catherine Cavanagh was recorded by the 1901 census as a mother of three children, living at Coopermindale Place, Stonefield, Blantyre, with her husband. Her birthplace was Blantyre. She was recorded as aged 30 years and was a 'coal miner's wife'. The family home had two windowed rooms. Medical Notes: William Grant MD certified the cause of death. Catherine married Patrick CAVANAGH, son of James CAVANAGH and Catherine McINERNEY, on 12 July 1895 in St Joseph's RC Chapel, Blantyre, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 (Patrick CAVANAGH was born 14 April 1868 at 4.30 pm in New Carnbroe, Bothwell Parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland 5, baptised on 22 April 1868 in St Patrick's RC parish, Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, Scotland 6 and died 7 April 1957 at 4.45 pm in 2 Belvoir Place, Blantyre, Lanarkshire, Scotland 7.). The cause of his death was senility and cystitis suffered over 6 days. Marriage Notes: The marriage was celebrated, after banns, according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church, Father Edwin Witsker being the celebrating priest. The witnesses were James Cummings and Rose Ann McCaffrey. |
