   Another name for Margaret was SHERRY, Margreat.³

  General Notes:

The 1861 census for Old Monkland Western District recorded a Margaret Sherry aged '4' (months)living with her family at Carmyle. She had been born in Hamilton and was the youngest of the four children recorded. The census entry does not say '4 months' but Margaret is placed after Catherine aged 2 years in contradistinction to Robert aged 4 who was placed before her in the list. The reading of '4 months' would correspond to the fact that Margaret was born on December 3 1860 and the census was taken on 7/8 of April 1861.

Margreat Sherry was recorded as 10 years of age by the 1871 census for Hamilton. She lived with her family at 11 Low Patrick Street in Hamilton where she was born and was a scholar. ^{2 3}
