   Other names for Annie were FEELIE, Ann,⁵ FEELY, Ann,⁶ FEELY, Annie, McGUIRE, Ann,^{6 7} McQUIRE, Ann ⁸ and PHEELY, Annie.

  General Notes:

Annie survived the death of her husband John in 1899. His usual residence was 2 Young Street, Hamilton then.

The 1901 census recorded Ann Feelie, a widow aged 43 years, living with her six children at 2 Young Street Hamilton, Lanarkshire. She had been born in Hamilton.

She herself died in 1928 at the recorded age of 72 years. ^{5 9}

Robert Feely, Ann's son, who was present, notified the registrar, Gavin Frame, at Hamilton on August 29 1928.

Annie married John FEELY, son of Robert FEELY and Mary GRIMES, on 13 February 1885 in RC Chapel, Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹ (John FEELY was born in 1856 in Ireland, baptised on 17 December 1856 in Shankill RC parish, County Armagh, Ireland,¹⁰ died 29 June 1899 at 6.45 am in River Avon, Hamilton Parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland ⁹ and was buried in 1899 in Hamilton Cemetery, Lanarkshire, Scotland..). The cause of his death was asphyxia due to drowning.

  Marriage Notes:

John Feely, a coal miner aged 26 years, of 20 Church Street, Hamilton married Ann McGuire aged 28 years, a cotton winder, of 1 Burnbell Place, Hamilton at a Roman Catholic service celebrated by Rev James Danaher RCC. The witnesses were James and Helen McGuire.

Both were unmarried. Each had only one parent living. Ann made her X mark.

William Potter, registrar, registered the marriage on 16 February 1885. ¹
