General Notes: The 1841 census for the parish of All Saints in Newcastle on Tyne, England, recorded a household living at Lime Street whose head was Barnerd Quigley. Living in the household were Barnerd's wife Ann, their three children, and another man, Willm Quigley. Ann Quigley was recorded as aged in the 50-54 years age range and as having been born in Scotland. Ann married Bernard QUIGLY Potter, son of William QUIGLY Sawyer and Mary McVAE. (Bernard QUIGLY Potter was born about 1788 in Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland and died on 4 December 1852 in Gardner's Buildings, Byker, Newcastle Upon Tyne, England 3 4.). The cause of his death was chest affection (sic) over 11 days and pneumonia over 3 days. |
