  General Notes:

The 1861 census for Maryhill Lanarkshire recorded Mary Kelly as the wife of Peter Quigley and living at Lindsays Land. She was recorded as 35 years old and had been born in Glasgow.

Mary Quigley was recorded by the 1881 census living with her husband and daughter Mary at 7 Burnside Street Glasgow. She had been born in the parish of (Pollok)Shaws, Renfrewshire (as it still was then), and her age was recorded as 58 years.

In 1883 Mary's death certificate recorded her as 'Mary Quigley married to Peter Quigley journeyman shoemaker' and her age as 62. Both of her parents were dead. ^{2 3 4}

Peter Quigley, widower, who had been present, gave notice of his wife's death before John Hamilton, registrar, at Glasgow on 29 January 1883, and signed the register. ³

Mary married Patrick QUIGLY, son of James QUIGLY and Mary Magdalane DUNCAN. (Patrick QUIGLY was born on 12 November 1825 in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland ^{2 5} and was baptised on 14 November 1825 in St Mirin's RC Chapel, Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland ⁵.)
