The 1861 census for Maryhill Lanarkshire recorded Mary Kelly as the mother in law of Peter Quigley and living with him and her daughter at Lindsays Land. She was recorded as 72 years old and had been born in Glasgow. By occupation she was a worsted winder. She was called 'Mary Kelly' like her daughter in this census but elsewhere was referred to as Margaret. ²

Margaret married Bernard KELLY. (Bernard KELLY was born about 1795.)
