ADAMS, Mary 1
General Notes: Mary Adams was recorded by the 1851 census for Scotland, living in Turnie Dykes the parish of Crichton, Midlothian, with her father, Thomas Adams, and her brother, John Adams. Her age was recorded as 21 years and his status as unmarried. She had been born in Ireland and had an occupation, but this was too unclear to read. Mary married Joseph ADAMS, son of Joseph ADAMS and Mary ADAMS, on 8 November 1859 in Borthwick Manse, Borthwick, Midlothian, Scotland.1 (Joseph ADAMS was born about 1833.) Marriage Notes: The marriage was solemnised after banns at Borthwick Manse according to the forms of the Church of Scotland. The Minister at Borthwick, James Reid, conducted the ceremony. The witnesses were Jane Reid and John McClure. |
