Margaret Quigley was recorded by the 1861 census. She lived at 417 Garscube Road Glasgow and was aged 42 years. She had been born in Ireland.

When William Quigley died in 1885, he was described as 'widower of Margaret Kane'. 5 8


Margaret married James VALLELY.1 2 (James VALLELY was born about 1760.)


  Marriage Notes:

"Archibald Douglas of Glenbervie. His various lands were in 1538 and also in 1542 erected into a barony, called the barony of Glenbervie. He is said to have been delicate, but lived until 29 September 1570, as appears from his recorded testament. He married first, Agnes Keith, daughter of William, second Earl Marischal, who died before 1548."

Margaret next married William QUIGLEY, son of QUIGLEY and Mary DALRYMPLE. (William QUIGLEY was born about 1815 in Ireland 5 and died 14 February 1885 at 2.30 pm in 598 New City Road, Glasgow, Scotland 8.). The cause of his death was cerebral haemorrhage over 3 months.

"Sir Alexander Irvine died in 1527. He had, besides Alexander Irvine, his son and successor, two daughters: Mary, married to Sir Archibald Douglas of Glenbervie; and Elspet, married to George Ogilvy, eldest son of Sir Walter Ogilvy of Boyne."
