"Thomas Forbes of Waterton, born 1664, married first, in 1689, Elizabeth, second daughter of Sir George Nicholson of Balcaskie, afterwards Lord Glenbervie. She brought a fortune of 10,000 merks, and had two sons and a daughter:

John, killed al Sheriffnmir, 1715 - he had been admitted burgess of Aberdeen in 1707. George, o.s.p. before 1722. Margaret, married John Hay of Balbithan."
