Cause of her death was senile decay.4 Other names for Sarah were MACAFFERTY, Sarah,3 McAFFERTY, Sarah 5 and QUIGLY, Sarah.6 General Notes: In her daughter Mary's 1855 birth certificate, Sarah Macafferty was recorded as aged 20 years. She had been born in County Derry Ireland. Mary was her first child. Medical Notes: The cause of Sarah's death was certified by John G. McColl LRCP. Sarah married Charles McCAFFERTY, son of James McCAFFERTY and Helen GALLAGHER, on 25 Apr 1855 in Lennoxtown Campsie, Stirlingshire, Scotland.1 (Charles McCAFFERTY was born about 1827 in County Donegal, Ireland 3 and died before 18 Mar 1922 4.) Marriage Notes: The marriage after banns was celebrated according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The celebrant was John Gillon, Catholic clergyman at Lennoxtown. The witnesses were John Quigley and Condy Gallagher. Sarah next married John QUIGLEY, son of John QUIGLEY and Bridget O'DONNELL.2 (John QUIGLEY was born on 21 Apr 1866 in Anderston, Glasgow, Scotland 6.) Marriage Notes: "Magdalen (Crichton), married (contract dated 1 October 1690) to Alexander Stewart of Lesmurdie." |
