Michael's birth was notified to the registrar, Andrew Baird, ay Coatdyke, on 12 August 1857 by 'John McNearn brother (who was) present' and made his X mark.

Michael married Edward Patrick VALLELY, son of John VALLELY and Margaret ADAMS, in Aug 1735.¹ (Edward Patrick VALLELY was born on 18 Mar 1848 in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland ^{2 3 4}, christened on 23 May 1848 in St Joseph's RC Parish, Kilmarnock, Scotland ⁴ and died 13 November 1912 at 5.15 pm in 13 Bartholomew Street, Glasgow, Scotland ⁵.). The cause of his death was aortic aneurism.
