  General Notes:

The baptismal register of St Margaret's RC Chapel Airdrie includes Robert's name and the names of his parents but has the usual designation 'lawful' written then crossed out, meaning his parents were not married to each other.. No birth date was noted for the child. Fr William Walsh baptised Robert and Mary Mullan was recorded as the sponsor at the baptism. ²

Robert married John McNAIRN, son of Robert McINAIRNEY and Susan MURPHY.¹ (John McNAIRN was born about 1843 ³.)

  Marriage Notes:

"George Gordon of 'Fewllmont' (who died in Tillyminat in 1481) married [Beroald] Innes of Meillers daughter [Isobel] with whom he begatt four sons'' (Balbithan MS., p. 42)"
