  General Notes:

The 1841 census for Garshore or Gartshore, Kirkintilloch Dunbartonshire recorded a John Vallely in the age range 45-49 years living with a Margaret Vallely aged 27 years, born outside of Dunbartonshire, and a baby Laurence Vallely aged 4 months, born in Dunbartonshire. A young woman called Sally Vallelyly aged 12 years and born outside of Dunbartonshire, also lived in the household. John worked as a labourer and had been born in Ireland.

Margaret Vallily was recorded as 40 years of age by the 1851 census for Kilmarnock. She had been born in Falkirk Stirlingshire.

In 1861 Margaret Valliley was recorded as 47 years of age. She lived Fore Street Kilmarnock with her five children and a young woman of 11 years, a visitor Catherine Logan.

No death certificate for Margaret Adams has been found before or after 1884. 7 10 11


Margaret married John VALLELY on 7 Jun 1840 in St Mary's RC Parish, Stirling, Scotland.1 (John VALLELY was born about 1805 in Ireland 7 10 and died 28 January 1884 at 4.30 am in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland 12.). The cause of his death was senile decay and (?) over 8 days.


  Marriage Notes:

The Old Parish Register records a date, probably banns, of 6 June 1840, at Slamannan. 13

Margaret next married Ann VALLALY, daughter of Bernard VALLALY and Elizabeth GLEN, on 15 Nov 1713 in Aberlour Parish, Banffshire, Scotland.2 3 (Ann VALLALY was born on 28 Aug 1865 in Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland 14.)
