Cause of her death was diarrhoea over 4 days. Other names for Mary were O'ROURKE, Mary,2 RORK, Mary, RORKE, Mary,3 ROURK, Mary,1 ROURKE, Mary 4 and SHORT, Mary.2 General Notes: After her husband, Patrick Rourke's death, Mary Burns remarried in January 1854 in Airdrie, according to the birth certificate of her daughter Mary. She married a man called Bernard Short, a master tailor, in his late thirties, from County Leitrim, Ireland. Four daughters: Mary (b 1855), Helen (b 1856), Ann (b 1858), and Elizabeth (b 1861), were born of this union. Medical Notes: David Watson LFPSG certified the cause of death. Mary married Patrick O'ROURKE. (Patrick O'ROURKE was born about 1815 in Ireland and died before 22 January 1854 in Scotland.) Mary next married Bernard SHORT on 22 January 1854 in Bothwell Parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 (Bernard SHORT was born about 1817 in Cloones, County Leitrim. Ireland.) |
