  General Notes:

The household recorded by the 1881 census, of which Daniel Rourke was the head, lived at Tile Row, 94 Merryston Square, in the parish of Old Monkland, quite near where Daniel's two brothers, Philip and Patrick, lived. Daniel was a coal miner by occupation. He was recorded as 34 years of age and had been born in Ireland. His household consisted of himself, his wife, and their five sons.

His death certificate in 1910 recorded Daniel as a coal miner, and married to Mary Connor. Both of his parents were deceased. His recorded age was 59 years. ¹

The death was registered at Coatbridge on 28 March 1910 before Gregor Grant, registrar, by Patrick O'Rourke, son of the deceased, who had been present.
