  General Notes:

In 1871 the census for Hamilton recorded Bernard Lynch, aged 43 years, living with his three children, Eliza, John and Rosa, at 1 Blackwell Lane. John was 16 years old and recorded as having been born in England. He worked as a coal miner.

John Lynch of 26 Hall Street Blantyre gave notice of his mother's death in 1896.

John Lynch gave notice of his father's death in 1899 at Blantyre. John's address then was noted as Springfield Place Blantyre. ^{1 2}
