Elizabeth married James QUIGLEY, son of Hugh QUIGLEY and Mary McCARDLE, on 20 August 1855 in St Andrew's RC Chapel, Great Clyde Street, Glasgow, Scotland. (James QUIGLEY was born in 1831 in County Monaghan, Ireland 2 and died 3 September 1886 at 1.00 am in 87 North Woodside Road, Glasgow, Scotland.). The cause of his death was probably pneumonia.


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated, after banns, according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church, James Russell RCC St Andrew's presiding. The witnesses were D. Mitchell and John Monney.

James Quigley, of 297 Argyle Street, Glasgow, was aged 24 years and a bachelor. He was a shoemaker by trade. He had been born and registered in 1831 in County Monaghan, Ireland. Both of his parents were living.

Elizabeth Martin, who made her X mark, was of the same address. She was aged 22 years and unmarried. She was born and registered at Glasgow in September 1832. Both of her parents were living.

The marriage was registered on 23 August 1855 at Glasgow, John Steven being the registrar.
