   Cause of his death was extensive burns of face, body and arms of 11 days' duration.

   Another name for John was TWEEDLIE, John.

  General Notes:

In 1891 John was living with his family in Cambusnethan parish, aged 3 years, when the census recorded them.

John was a coal miner, according to his death certificate. His usual residence was 5 Livingstone Square, Wishaw, Lanarkshire. He was aged 25 years. An entry was made in the Register of Corrected Entries on the basis of the report of the precognition into the circumstances of John's death:
John resided at Livingstone Square , Hill Street, Wishaw. He died from injuries he received accidentally on July 4 1913 at Heathery Pit, Wishaw Colliery, through the ignition of gunpowder. This was the verdict of the jury, and signed by the Procurator Fiscal, William Thomas, at Hamilton on 30 July 1913. 1 2

  Medical Notes:

John S. K. Boyd MB ChB certified the cause of death.

James Tweedlie, the deceased's brother, notified the registrar at Glasgow, Dan A. McGhee, on 16 July 1913. He gave his address as 32 Kitchener Street, Wishaw.


John married Mary Moffat ARBUCKLE. (Mary Moffat ARBUCKLE was born about 1890 and died after 15 July 1913.)
