The cause of her death was pulmonary consumption lasting a year. Edward next married Catharine HAY on 18 March 1881 in 6 Burnhall Row, Waterloo, Cambusnethan Parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland. (Catharine HAY was born on 6 June 1865 in Whitburn, West Lothan, Scotland.) Marriage Notes: The marriage was performed after banns according to the forms of the Established Church of Scotland.
