In the 1901 census Henry Vallery aged 14 years was living with his mother and brother and sister at 3 Great Dovehill in the Blackfriars area of Glasgow according to the census for that year. He had been born in Glasgow and worked as a message boy.

Henry's name was recorded in his death certificate as 'formerly Vallely'. His age at death was recorded as 64 years. He was a carrier's clerk by occupation. ^{1 2}

Henry married Jessie FLYNN. (Jessie FLYNN was born about 1890.)
