Margaret was aged 42 years and lived in Hamilton when she was recorded by the 1891 census.

When she died in 1894 she was survived by her husband, Joseph Lynas. She was recorded as aged 45 years. ^{3 4}

John Lynas, Margaret's son, who was present, informed the registrar at Hamilton, W. J. T. Rae, of her death on June 27 1894.

Margaret married Joseph LYNAS, son of Thomas LYNAS and Ellen LOUGHRAN, on 27 November 1872 in Roman Catholic Chapel, Hamilton, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹ (Joseph LYNAS was born about 1852.)

  Marriage Notes:

The marriage was celebrated according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The priest was James Danaher, RCC at Hamilton. The witnesses were Francis Lynas and Helen Small, probably relatives of the couple being married.

Joseph Lynas, the groom, was an unmarried man of 20 years of age, who worked as a bookkeeper. His usual residence was noted as 30 Senex? Street, Liverpool, England.

The bride, Margaret Small, was also unmarried and aged 21 years. She lived at 19 Castle Street, Hamilton.
