Another name for Patrick was CALLAN, Patrick.4 General Notes: In the census of 1891, James Collins, a freestone quarrier, was the head of a household living at 68 Omoa Square in the parish of Shotts, Lanarkshire, with his wife Alice Collins, and his brothers Patrick and Joseph Collins who were boarders. Patrick Collins was recorded as 21 years old and born in Wishaw, Lanarkshire. He was a coal miner. Patrick married Mary Ann CAVANAGH, daughter of John CAVANAGH and Theresa HUGHES, on 31 December 1895 in RC Chapel, Cleland, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1 (Mary Ann CAVANAGH was born on 20 September 1867 in County Tyrone, Ireland 9, baptised on 11 October 1867 in Coalisland RC parish, County Tyrone, Ireland 9 and died after 4 November 1939 6.) Marriage Notes: The marriage was celebrated, after banns, according to the rites and forms of the Roman Catholic Church. The priest was Patrick Hackett and the witnesses of this marriage were John Collins and Catherine Cavanagh. |
