General Notes: The Ballindalloch estates were taken possession of by creditors, and ultimately acquired by Colonel William Grant, younger son of James Grant of Rothiemurchus, and ancestor of the present possessor of Ballindalloch. (Rulers of Strathspey) 2 William married Anne GRANT, daughter of Ludovick GRANT 8th of Freuchie and 1st of Grant and Janet BRODIE, on 1 November 1711 in Cromdale and Inverallan parish, Moray, Scotland.1 (Anne GRANT was born about 1676.) Marriage Notes: "(2) Anne, married to colonel William Grant of Balindallach, a son of the family of Rothimurchus" |
