William married Anne GRANT, daughter of Ludovick GRANT 8th of Freuchie and 1st of Grant and Janet BRODIE, on 1 November 1711 in Cromdale and Inverallan parish, Moray, Scotland.1 (Anne GRANT was born about 1676.)

"(2) Anne, married to colonel William Grant of Balindallach, a son of the family of Rothimurchus"


There is a marriage entry in Cromdale parish a few words only of which is visible. The date is "November 1 1711". The husband's name "William Grant" is visible with a title preceding the second part of which may be "lonel" though this is not clear or certain. The wife's name is obscured but "...of Grant" is visible. 1 3
