William married Elizabeth DE BRUS, daughter of Sir Robert DE BRUS 6th Lord of Annandale, Earl of Carrick jure uxoris and Marjorie 3rd Countess of Carrick. (Elizabeth DE BRUS was born about 1286.)

  Marriage Notes:

"Sir William (Dishington) married Elizabeth, sister (see Note below) of Robert Bruce, and seems to have had two sons, William, to whom came the lands of Ardross, and John, who received the lands of Longhermiston, and is styled by King Robert Bruce 'dilecto nepoti suo.' William, the elder, had charters by Robert Bruce (1306-1330), and David II (1330-1370), to the lands of Balglassie, Aberlemno, and Tollyquhondland in Forfarshire. He died c. 1360."

Note:

The author of the above extract confuses the generations here. Elizabeth was the daughter, not the sister, of King Robert Bruce. 'Nepos' may be translated as 'nephew' but also as 'grandson'.
