"Mr. Robert Grant of Kinchirdie, who, on 2d July 1757, as eldest son and heir of his father, obtained a precept of dare constat from the Laird of Grant for infeftment in the lands of Kinchirdie, Delnahaitnich, Avielochan, and others. He studied for the church, was licensed on 30th November 1756, and upon a presentation by Sir Ludovick Grant of Grant, was ordained minister of Duthil on 19th April 1758. He died on 12th March 1759, s.p., and was succeeded by his brother John."

"Robert Grant of Kinchirdie, born about 1733, eldest son of James G. of Kinchirdie (whom he succeeded, 2nd July 1757), and Margaret, daugh. of Gregor Grant of Gartenmore; licen. by Presb. of Abernethy 30th Nov. 1756; pres. by Sir Ludovick Grant of Grant; ord. 19th April 1758; died unmarr. 13th Feb. 1759."
