"Patrick Grant, born 1723, son of Patrick G. of Tullochgriban in Duthil and Margaret Walker;educated at Marischal College, Aberdeen, 1747-51 ; licen. by Presb. of Dalkeith 2nd July 1751; ord. 19th Dec. 1751; died 15th Feb. 1778. He marr. 18th April 1769, Grace (died at Curr, 30th Dec. 1795), daugh. of James Grant of Knockando, and had issue an only son, James, apprenticed to a W.S. in 1790; Grace (marr. 22nd Dec. 1801, Anthony Barclay, W.S.); Elizabeth (marr., pro. 19th Nov. 1797, James Thomson, grocer, Edinburgh), died 19th May 1832.
