General Notes:
This is a speculative generation, to link the mysteriously unconnected Provost Alexander Cullen with the rest of the Cullens, based on dates and naming patters. Had that particular Provost Cullen been the son of a more high-profile father, we would be more likely to know of him. His father and/or grandfather may have died young and relatively unknown, or it may that Alexander Cullen was a natural son of one of the Cullen males, Andrew Cullen who was the parson of Fetternear for example. More research is needed to try to establish firmer links.
