? to c. 1685 born c. 1640 (1638 ?). the son of Adam Gordon of Artloch and Isabel Leslie, the sister of Fr. George Leslie; to Scots College, Douai, 25th April 1655; joined Society of Jesus at Tournai, 1660/62; taught Humanities/Philosophy in Douai, 1672 (for fourteen years); was said, in 1707, to have been a missionary in Scotland for thirty years; died in Aberdeen, October 1720.
