GEORGE GORDON born c. 1654, the son of Adam Gordon of Artloch and Isabel Leslie, and a nephew of Fr. George Leslie of New Leslie; to Scots College, Douai, August/ September 1669; to Scots College, Madrid, 3rd October 1669; returned to Douai, 23rd December 1673, and to Scotland, unordained, 20th June (?) 1674. (three brothers Jesuit priests: John, James, Peter)."

Note: The phrasing here is unclear as to whether 'of Artloch' is the landed title of Adam, or whether it is referring to the family he belongs to in a general way. If it is the former then he may have been the the elder brother referred to implicitly when William of Farskane was called 'second son'. ¹

Adam married Isabel LESLIE of New Leslie, daughter of John LESLIE 6th of New Leslie and Unknown. (Isabel LESLIE of New Leslie was born about 1635.)
