Note:

Scots Peerage, volume 3, has Marie Ogilvy, daughter to the first Lord Banff as second wife of the eldest son of Alexander Sutherland and Jean Forbes, marrying in 1701. By that time Marie would have been about seventy years old and the eldest son, also named Alexander, would still be in his thirties, making such a marriage highly unlikely as a second marriage for the husband. This marriage, however, is still included in the volume 9 corrections. 1 2
