"George Thomas, next younger brother of James Macpherson Gordon, went to India as a cadet in Hon. East India Co.'s Service in 1801 : he served many years in the Bombay Cavalry, became Lieut.-Col. in 1832, and after his retirement, lived at Deebank, Banchory, Kincardineshire, till his death."
