Sarah married William GORDON, son of Captain Thomas GORDON of Foderletter, Jacobite 1745 and Isobell MACPHERSON.¹ (William GORDON was baptised on 20 April 1735 in Kirkmichael and Tomintoul parish, Banffshire, Scotland ².)

  Marriage Notes:

"William, their youngest brother, was brought up by his brother George to the Cudbear business at Leith : he married Sarah, the daughter of Edward Chandler, Senior, Esq. of Walcot Place, Lambeth, Surrey: she left by her husband a family of three sons, viz.,
I. James Macpherson, of whom hereafter.
II. George Thomas, of whom hereafter.
III. William Chandler : he died six months after the death of his mother, who died in childbed, 12 July 1786."
