" Instrument of Renunciation of the saids lands of Fowlislye by the said James Gordoun of Tulliangous in favour of the said Patrick Letcht of Harthill for the sum of 1540 merks Scots paid by the said Patrick to the said Sir John Stewart of Minto by the desire of the said James while he was proscribed for treason : dated before these witnesses Alex- Lectht, son and heir of the said Patrick.
