General Notes: "It is probable that the latter (Alexander Gordon Merchant in Holland) had a daughter, who married Alexander Gordon, Collector of Customs in Aberdeen, of the Lesmoir family, whose son became Sir Alexander Gordon, 7th Bart, of Lesmoir; for in his Pedigree of the Lesmoir family Harperfield says that this Alexander Gordon (the Collector) married Isobel, daughter of Alexander Gordon, merchant in Rotterdam, younger son of Francis Gordon of Craig. Isobel married Alexander GORDON of Lesmoir, Merchant, Collector of Customs in Aberdeen, son of Sir James GORDON 8th of Lesmoir, 5th Baronet and Jean GORDON, on 27 April 1710 in Saint Nicholas parish, Aberdeen, Scotland.1 2 (Alexander GORDON of Lesmoir, Merchant, Collector of Customs in Aberdeen was born about 1682.)
