Elsewhere in
Moir Genealogy and Collateral Lines, on page 135, a birth-brief is quoted which names this William Moir's wife as "Jean Gordon", and calls her the "daughter to the deceast Gilbert Gordon of Gordonsmill." The birth-brief information is clearly countered by the above two sources. 1 2 3 4
