Note:

It should be noted that both the above source and the
House of Forbes contradict the Memorials of the Family of Skene of Skene - and the parish register - which state that Anna Skene married Alexander Forbes of Foveran in 1639, that is before his marriage to Margaret Hunter.

The
House of Forbes article states - quoting as its source Rowe's Diary -

"Alexander Forbes married, secondly, the widow of Baillie Skene, and thirdly, on June 11th, 1667, Katherine Gordon, widow of Keith of Clackriach, who after his death married Thomas Burnett of Kirkhill"

This cannot be the case. Thomas Burnett of Kirkhill, nicknamed 'Poles', the son of Alexander Burnet and Agnes Moir, was baptised in 1659. He married Elizabeth Gordon, and children, one of whom, Thomas, was baptised in 1709.

There was a Catherine Gordon, of the Gight family, who married John Keith, apparent of Clackriath, around the 1560s.
