KEITH, William apparent of Ludquharn, Sir 1 3Another name for William was KEITH, William younger, of Ludquharn.2 User ID: Y553. General Notes: "1576, July 21. - When William Keith of Ludquharn, with the consent of George Gordon of Creichie, his curator, raised an action in the Aberdeen Sheriff Court against Andrew Robertson, it was pleaded that George Gordon of Creichie had 'no place nor persoun to stand in jugement to persew this action, nor yet gif his consent to persew the same, in respect he is denuncit our soueran lords rebell and put to his Grace home'. The pursuer Keith was now of age, so Gordon's name was struck out of the action (Privy Council Register, i., 248)." William married Margaret KEITH, daughter of William KEITH Master of Marischal and Elizabeth HAY.1 2 (Margaret KEITH was born about 1558 and died by 1609 3.) Marriage Notes: "(5) Margaret (daughter of William Keith, Master of Marischal), married, first, to William Keith, younger of Ludquharn; secondly, to Sir John Carnegie of Kinnaird ; thirdly, to Sir William Graham of Braco." |
