Margaret married James WINTON (DNA Link), son of Robert WINTON (DNA Link) and Helen WEBSTER, on 7 June 1861 in 6 Regent Terrace, Edinburgh, Scotland.1 (James WINTON (DNA Link) was born in 1840 in Low Cowpen, Northumberland, England 6 7 and died 26 March 1916 at 9.30 pm in 161 Dalry Road, Edinburgh, Scotland 3 8 9.). The cause of his death was broncho-pneumonia that lasted one month and seven days.

James Winton was a bachelor of 21 years, living at 1 Fleshmarket Close, Edinburgh. He worked as a mechanical engineer. His father was deceased.

Margaret Ferrie was 23 years old and unmarried. She lived at Advocates' Close, Edinburgh, and worked as a domestic servant. Both of her parents, William Ferrie, a labourer, and Mary Boyle were deceased.

The marriage was registered at Edinburgh on 10 June 1861, J. M Adams being the signing registrar.
