The 1891 census for Richmond Place in Edinburgh recorded Margaret Winton living with her family. She was recorded as 49 years of age and born in Edinburgh. Her three children living at home were aged from 23 years to 14 years. ³

Margaret married James WINTON, son of Robert WINTON and Helen WEBSTER, on 7 June 1861 in 6 Regent Terrace, Edinburgh, Scotland.^{1 2} (James WINTON was born in 1840 in Northumberland, England ⁷ and died 26 March 1916 at 9.30 pm in 161 Dalry Road, Edinburgh, Scotland ^{1 3 4 8}.). The cause of his death was broncho-pneumonia that lasted one month and seven days.
