General Notes: William Paton was an ironmoulder, according to the death certificate of his widow, Jane, in 1971. 3 William married Jane Deans NISBET, daughter of Alexander Sandilands NISBET (DNA Linked) and Isabella HAIMES (DNA Linked), on 17 November 1911 in George Street, Falkirk, Stirlingshire, Scotland.1 2 (Jane Deans NISBET was born 13 May 1879 at 5.30 am in 5 Brown Street, Edinburgh, Scotland 4 and died 10 June 1971 at 2.30 am in 16 High Station Road, Falkirk, Stirlingshire, Scotland 3.). The cause of her death was congestive cardiac failure and coronary thrombosis. Marriage Notes: The marriage took place after banns according to the forms of the Church of Scotland. The minister who married the couple was A. Ross Taylor. The witnesses were Charles H. Mitchell and Maggie M. Moffat. |
