William married Jane Deans NISBET, daughter of Alexander Sandilands NISBET (DNA Linked) and Isabella HAIMES (DNA Linked), on 17 November 1911 in George Street, Falkirk, Stirlingshire, Scotland.1 2 (Jane Deans NISBET was born 13 May 1879 at 5.30 am in 5 Brown Street, Edinburgh, Scotland 4 and died 10 June 1971 at 2.30 am in 16 High Station Road, Falkirk, Stirlingshire, Scotland 3.). The cause of her death was congestive cardiac failure and coronary thrombosis.


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage took place after banns according to the forms of the Church of Scotland. The minister who married the couple was A. Ross Taylor. The witnesses were Charles H. Mitchell and Maggie M. Moffat.

William Paton was a journeyman plumber of 45 Mary Street, Falkirk. He was a bachelor and 27 years old.

Jeannie Deans Nisbet was a single woman who worked as a domestic servant. She was 29 years old and lived at Wellside Terrace, Falkirk. Both of her parents were deceased.

The marriage was registered on 18 November 1911 at Falkirk, the registrar signing E. K. Hunter. 2
