Auchenhuive is in the parish of Udny (also Edny), in the Ellon district of Aberdeenshire. It lies south-east of Old Meldrum, between the A920 and the A947, near Hattoncrook. East and north-east of it are situated West Coullie, Coullie, Milton Coullie and North Coullie. 2

Thomas married Daughter DRUMMOND 'of Innerpeffray'.1 (Daughter DRUMMOND 'of Innerpeffray' was born about 1510.)

  Marriage Notes:

"Thomas Gordon of Auchinhiff or Cracullie Second Son to John Gordon of Essy married the Laird of Inchpafra's daughter Drummond, with whom he begat four sons and a daughter, viz, his eldest son Alexander [Thomas1 MS 1644 ] Gordon of Cracullie, James Gordon of Achenhiff, Mr Alexander Gordon of Tulloch, and George who dyed without heirs ; his daughter Mary Gordon married John Gordon Laird of Cluny. Their father the said Thomas was killed att the Battle of Corrichie 1563[2 MS 1644]."

from Balbithan MS

Note:

This marriage is not attested in the genealogy of the Drummonds. as is that of the marriage of Alexander Gordon of Buckie to isabella Drummond. Given the confusion between the names of Alexander and Thomas, it may be that it is an error.
