MARRIAGE

A History of Their Making states that this Alexander Cumming married a daughter of William Fraser of Philorth, possibly named 'Janet'.

Family Records of the Bruces and the Cumyns also have an Alexander Cumyn of Altyre marry Janet Fraser, daughter of William of Philorth, but identifies him as the grandson of this Alexander, the son of Alexander's son, Sir Thomas Cumyn.

The Frasers of Philorth make no mention of such a daughter, nor of any such marriage. In a later generation, a Margaret Fraser is said to have married Alexander Cumming of Inverallochy.

William Fraser according to The Frasers of Philorth had one son and two daughters. The daughters were Agnes, who married William de Forbes of Kinaldie, and Isabel who married Gilbert Menzies. 3 4 5 6
