Other names for James were GORDON, James Baronet 4 and GORDON, James baronet of Letterfoury, Sir.5 General Notes: On the demise of Sir William Gordon, the sixth Baronet, of Gordonstoun, the succession to the baronetage opened, and accordingly James was served heir male general to Sir Robert Gordon, the first Baronet of Gordonstoun, the 22nd of April, 1806. James married Mary Lucy Elizabeth GLENDONWYN, daughter of William GLENDONWYN and Unknown, on 6 July 1801 in Roman Catholic Cathedral, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 (Mary Lucy Elizabeth GLENDONWYN was born about 1783.) |
