Jean married John OTTERBURN of Redhall, son of Sir Adam OTTERBURN of Auldhame and Redhall, Advocate to King James V, Provost of Edinburgh and Eupham MOUBRAY 'of Barnbougle', by 3 September 1543 (conjunct charter). (John OTTERBURN of Redhall was born about 1512 and died by 22 May 1565 ¹.)

  Marriage Notes:

"He (John Otterburn) m. Jean, daughter of John Stewart, 3rd Earl of Atholl, (she survived him and m. secondly, by September of 1569, to George Crawford of Leffnoris), with whom she had a conjunct charter for the lands of Redheughs on 3 September 1543, then another for those of Redhall with the turret, manor, houses etc, dated 26 January 1549."
