Alexander married Elizabeth LYON, daughter of Patrick LYON 1st Lord Glamis, Keeper of Kildrummy castle and Isobel OGILVY, on 1 April 1440.¹ (Elizabeth LYON was born about 1429.)

"Alexander Robertson, 9th of Glenerochie, 5th Chief of Clan Donnachaidh was the son of Robert Atholia of Glenerochie, 4th Chief of Clan Donnachaidh and Lady Margaret Stewart. He married, firstly, Elizabeth Lyon, daughter of Patrick Lyon, 1st Lord Glamis and Isabel Ogilvy, on 1 April 1440. He married, secondly, Lady Elizabeth Stewart, daughter of John Stewart, 1st Earl of Atholl and Lady Eleanor Sinclair, before 24 April 1504. He died circa 1506.

He held the position of 5th Chief of the Clan Donnachaidh from circa August 1460."
