Jessie married William NISBET, son of John NISBET and Alison LUNN, on 16 August 1872 in Innerleithen parish, Peeblesshire, Scotland.1 (William NISBET was baptised on 4 February 1838 in Polwarth Parish, Berwickshire, Scotland 4 and died on 24 April 1895 in Innerleithen parish, Peeblesshire, Scotland.)


  Marriage Notes:

The marriage took place according the the forms of the Church of Scotland. The couple were married by Alexander Williamson, Minister of the Parish of Innerleithen. Robert Nisbet and John Stark were the two witnesses.

The bridegroom, William Nisbet, was an unmarried man, aged 34 years. He lived in Innerleithen and was a woollen spinner. His father was deceased.

The bride, Jessie Stark, was also single and from Innerleithen. She was 25 years old and was a housekeeper by occupation. Her mother was deceased. Jessie Stark made her X mark.

The marriage was registered at Innerleithen on 20 August 1872, James Lyle being the registrar. 5
